Evenings, about 8 to 11 PM in your audience's local time, get the most votes from 5 studies. Late weekday mornings come second. Pins keep getting found for months, so the hour matters less here than the season.

## The short answer: Post in the evening, about 8 to 11 PM in your audience's local time.

Five studies published between November 2025 and September 2026 split into two camps. Sprout Social and Hootsuite point to late weekday mornings and midday, about 10 AM to 1 PM. RecurPost, Viraly and Social Champ point to evenings, about 8 to 11 PM. Added up, the evening band wins, and Thursday 6 to 9 PM is the slot most studies name.

Pinterest gives no clock time. Its advice is about the season: "If the moment peaks in June, launch in April." Tailwind's study of 1.2 million Pins found no universal best time, so use the map as a start and test it against your own numbers.

- **Best days**: Wednesday, Tuesday (Thursday 6 to 9 PM is the top slot)
- **Best time**: 8 to 11 PM (Late mornings, 9 AM to 1 PM, come next)
- **Worst time**: 1 to 6 AM (Weekends split the studies)

## Where 5 studies agree, by day and time of day

### Where 5 studies agree

Strongest slot: Thursday, 6-9 PM. Best day: Wednesday. Weakest day: Sunday. Mostly your audience's local time; Hootsuite's times are time-zone agnostic. A higher score means more studies name that slot. Scores run from 0 to 100.

| RecurPost, Sep 2026 | Own data, size not published | 8-10 PM most days, late mornings | Weekends, for early engagement | 1-6 AM |

Only Sprout Social and Hootsuite publish their samples, and both pool every network. Left out: CoSchedule's widely copied hours come from 2022 data, and SocialPilot's Pinterest section repeats them.

## When to publish for a season or holiday. Pinterest's own timing advice is about weeks, not hours.

| Moment | When to start | What Pinterest says |
|---|---|---|
| Any seasonal moment | About two months before it peaks | "If the moment peaks in June, launch in April" (Jan 2026) |
| Winter holidays | September | "Festive activity spikes as early as September" (Jul 2026) |
| Late holiday push | Before November | "If you wait until November to show up, most festive decisions have already been made" (Jul 2026) |
| After the holidays | Keep going | Keep campaigns running between Christmas and New Year's Day (Jul 2026) |

From Pinterest's business blog: the 2026 brand moments guide and the holiday 2026 guide.

## What changed for timing. Plan by season, then by hour.

- **Jul 2026: Holiday planning starts in September** Pinterest's holiday guide: "our data showing that festive activity spikes as early as September." It advises going live as early as possible between September and November. (https://business.pinterest.com/blog/holiday-2026-starts-now-a-pinterest-guide-to-success/)
- **Jan 2026: Launch two months before a moment peaks** Pinterest's 2026 brand moments guide: "If the moment peaks in June, launch in April." Seasonal searches build months before the date. (https://business.pinterest.com/blog/pinterest-brand-moments-guide-2026/)
- **Jun 2025: Trends last longer on Pinterest** Pinterest says "trends on Pinterest last nearly twice as long as they do anywhere else". A Pin can keep finding people long after the day it goes out. ## Find your own best time. The map is a start, your numbers decide.

1. **Plan in your audience's time zone** Sprout Social and RecurPost both use the audience's local time. If most of your audience lives in New York, plan in Eastern Time, wherever you are.
2. **Test one slot at a time** Post similar Pins in an evening slot and a morning slot for about four weeks. Compare saves and outbound clicks, not impressions alone.
3. **Publish seasonal Pins early** Pinterest's rule of thumb is two months before a moment peaks, and September for the winter holidays. The week matters more than the hour.
4. **Judge a Pin after weeks, not days** In Tailwind's 2025 data, about 20% of new Pins had no impressions after a week, and reach kept growing over the first 90 days.
5. **Schedule the evening Pins** The strongest band runs 8 to 11 PM. Pinterest's own scheduler holds only 10 Pins at a time, up to 30 days ahead, so a longer queue needs a scheduler.
6. **Keep a steady flow** Pinterest's advice is to add content every week. A regular rhythm at fair times beats one big batch at the perfect hour.

## Sources and method

We read the Pinterest timing studies published between November 2025 and September 2026 that name times from their own data: Sprout Social, Hootsuite, RecurPost, Viraly and Social Champ. Only Sprout Social and Hootsuite publish their samples, and both pool every network; the other three do not describe their method, so treat them as weaker evidence. Each study gets one vote per day and three-hour block: plus one when it names the block as a best time, minus one when it says to avoid the block or the day. The votes are scaled from 0 to 100, so the map shows where the studies agree, not an engagement rate. CoSchedule's hours are left out because they come from 2022 data, and SocialPilot's Pinterest section repeats them. Tailwind's study names no best time, so it adds no votes.

## FAQ

### What is the best time to post on Pinterest?

Evenings, about 8 to 11 PM in your audience's local time. That band gets the most votes across five 2025 and 2026 studies, with late weekday mornings, about 9 AM to 1 PM, second. The studies disagree on the exact hour, so test both against your own numbers.

### What is the best time to post on Pinterest today?

It depends on the day. Monday 8 to 11 PM, Tuesday 8 to 10 PM, Wednesday 9 to 11 AM, Thursday 6 to 9 PM, Friday 8 to 10 PM, and Saturday and Sunday 8 to 11 PM. The heatmap on this page marks today's row.

### What is the best day to post on Pinterest?

Wednesday, then Tuesday, on the combined map. The weekend splits the studies: Sprout Social calls it the weakest time, while RecurPost, Viraly and Social Champ rank it the best.

### What is the worst time to post on Pinterest?

Overnight, about 1 to 6 AM in your audience's local time, which RecurPost names and no study recommends. Sprout Social adds weekends, but three other studies disagree.

### Is it good to post on Pinterest on a Monday?

Yes. Monday 8 to 11 PM is a strong evening slot in three studies, and Sprout Social and Hootsuite both name Monday late morning, around 10 AM.

### Does posting time matter on Pinterest?

Less than on most networks. Tailwind's study of 1.2 million Pins found that "timing didn't predict success", and Pins keep getting found for months after they go out.

### When should I post seasonal content on Pinterest?

About two months before the moment peaks: Pinterest's own example is "If the moment peaks in June, launch in April." For the winter holidays, Pinterest says activity spikes as early as September.

### Which time zone should I use?

Your audience's. Sprout Social and RecurPost both report the audience's local time, so plan in the time zone where most of your audience lives.

### Is the best time different for video Pins?

No study we found gives separate times for video Pins. Use the same windows and compare your own video and image Pins.

### How does OmniSocials suggest a time to post?

It looks at your workspace's own Pinterest posts, weighted toward recent ones, and suggests a time when you schedule. Analytics shows a day-by-hour heatmap, and until 15 posts are analyzed it shows labeled industry defaults.
