### Can you schedule Bluesky posts?

Yes, with a scheduler. Bluesky’s own app doesn’t schedule posts. OmniSocials schedules Bluesky posts and threads on one calendar with your other channels and publishes them on its own at the time you pick, with clickable links and link cards.

### How do I connect Bluesky?

Sign in with your Bluesky handle, through Bluesky’s own sign-in. You don’t need an app password. Handles on your own domain work too, and so do accounts on other Bluesky hosts. Each workspace connects one Bluesky account.

### What can I post to Bluesky?

Posts of up to 300 characters with up to 10 images or one video, and threads of 2 to 25 posts. Every image and video can carry its own alt text. A post can’t mix images and a video, and OmniSocials stops it before it is scheduled.

Videos can be up to 10 minutes and 300 MB. Bluesky only takes video from accounts with a verified email, so verify yours in Bluesky’s settings first.

### Do links in my posts become clickable?

Yes. Links, mentions and hashtags in your text become clickable on their own. A post with a link and no images or video also gets a link card with the page’s title, description and image.

### How do Bluesky threads work?

Write past 300 characters and click Split into thread. OmniSocials cuts the text at the end of sentences into posts that each fit. You can edit, move and add posts, and give each one its own images. A thread has 2 to 25 posts and goes out as one chain.

### Does OmniSocials publish to Bluesky automatically?

Yes. Every Bluesky post goes out on its own at the time you pick, with no reminder to act on. Images keep their own shape, and photos over Bluesky’s 2 MB limit are compressed to fit. If a post fails on a temporary error, OmniSocials retries it up to 3 times, 15 minutes apart.

An automation can also repost what you publish on Bluesky to your other channels, or repost your posts from another channel to Bluesky. When a caption is too long for Bluesky, you pick once: post it as a thread, cut it at 300 characters, or skip the post.

### Which Bluesky analytics do I get?

Per post: likes, replies, reposts, quotes and bookmarks. For the account: followers, following, posts, new followers and mentions. Bluesky doesn’t report impressions or reach.

### Can I answer Bluesky replies in OmniSocials?

No. The Social Inbox doesn’t cover Bluesky, so replies and mentions stay in the Bluesky app. Your analytics do count new mentions.

### Can ChatGPT or Claude post to Bluesky for me?

Yes. Connect the OmniSocials MCP server to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any other MCP client and ask in plain words: it writes, schedules and checks your Bluesky posts and threads. With an approval workflow, nothing goes out before someone approves it.

Posts, images, video and threads are also in the REST API, the official SDKs and the CLI.

Webhooks tell your app when a post is scheduled, approved, rejected, published or failed.
