This is the machine-readable version of [omnisocials.com/discord-mcp](https://omnisocials.com/discord-mcp), maintained for AI agents. Facts checked against the OmniSocials app on October 22, 2026.

- **Server URL:** https://mcp.omnisocials.com
- **Auth:** OAuth sign-in, or an API key for agents that run on their own
- **Discovery file:** https://omnisocials.com/.well-known/mcp.json
- **Docs:** https://docs.omnisocials.com/mcp-server

- **With your AI agent:** Connect Claude, ChatGPT or any MCP client to your Discord channel with the OmniSocials MCP server. Your agent schedules messages, polls, link buttons and forum posts and reads the reactions, with no bot to create and nothing to host.
- **With your coding agent:** Claude Code and Codex add the OmniSocials MCP server with one command, and agents that run on their own use an API key. Or post to Discord from your own code with the API.

## What your agent does

Ask in plain words. Your agent picks the MCP server’s tools, and OmniSocials posts to your channel through its webhook.

- **Announcements with link buttons.** Up to 5 buttons under a message, sent silently if you like. No @everyone ping unless you ask. (`create_post`, `get_post`)
- **Native Discord polls.** Your text is the question, with 2 to 10 answers, open from 1 hour to 32 days. (`create_post`, `get_best_times`)
- **Forum posts with a title.** Your agent sets the title, and the message opens a new post in your forum channel. (`create_post`, `upload_media`)
- **Big videos, played in Discord.** Up to 1 GB, any length. Over 20 MB, the video goes as a link with Discord’s player. (`upload_media`, `create_post`)
- **Know what worked.** The reactions on each post, and the best time for your next one. (`get_posts_analytics`, `get_best_times`)

## Setup

## Tools

19 tools in 4 groups. Your agent picks them from a plain request.

### Publishing

Messages, polls and forum posts, now or on a schedule, with every Discord option. Try asking: "Post the Claude card news in our Discord on Thursday at 9 AM, silently, with a Read the changelog button."

- create_post: Schedule a message, poll or forum post, with link buttons, silent sending and the other Discord options.
- create_and_publish_post: Post to Discord right away, with the same options.
- update_post: Change the text, the Discord options or the time of a draft or scheduled post.
- get_post: A post’s Discord options and, once it’s out, its link and any video sent as a link.
- upload_media: Upload images or a video from a link or the chat. A link takes files up to 1 GB.
- check_media_compatibility: Check a file’s size and format first. Videos go up to 1 GB.
- retry_post: Publish a failed post again.

### Insights

The reactions on each post, and when to post the next one. Try asking: "Which Discord posts got the most reactions last month, and when should I post next?"

- get_post_analytics: The reactions on one post. Discord gives webhooks no views.
- get_posts_analytics: The reactions on many posts at once, to compare them.
- get_analytics_overview: Your posts and their reactions over 7, 30 or 90 days, per channel.
- get_best_times: Your best days and hours from your own posts, or defaults until you have 15.

### Approvals

Your team or client signs off before a post goes out. Try asking: "Approve the Discord posts that are waiting for me."

- list_approval_workflows: The review steps a post can go through.
- approve_post: Approve a post that waits for you.
- reject_post: Send a post back with what to change.
- get_post_approval: Where a post stands in its review.

### Accounts and setup

Which server, which workspace, which events. Try asking: "Which Discord server is connected, and which name do our posts show?"

- list_accounts: The accounts connected to the workspace, your Discord channel among them.
- get_account: Your Discord server, the webhook’s name and the link to the channel.
- switch_workspace: Work in another workspace, with its own Discord channel.
- create_webhook: Get an event at your own endpoint when a post is scheduled, published, approved, rejected or fails.

## FAQ

### Is there an official Discord MCP server?

Not from Discord itself, as far as we know (October 2026). The Discord MCP servers on GitHub and in MCP directories are third-party projects that run through a Discord bot: you create the bot, keep its token and usually host the server yourself, and the bot reads and sends messages in your server.

The OmniSocials MCP server is hosted at https://mcp.omnisocials.com and made for publishing. It schedules messages, polls, link buttons and forum posts to your channel through the channel’s webhook, with nothing to create or host, and the same tools post to your other channels too.

### Can Claude post to Discord?

Yes. Once your Discord channel is connected in OmniSocials and the MCP server is added to Claude, ask in plain words. Claude schedules the message, poll or forum post with the Discord options, or posts it right away, and gets its link once it’s out. ChatGPT, Cursor and other MCP clients work the same way.

### Do I need a Discord bot?

No. OmniSocials posts through an incoming webhook of your channel, so there is no bot to create, add or host, and no token that runs out. In OmniSocials, open Channels and pick Discord. Continue with Discord opens Discord’s own screen, where you choose your server and a text channel. You need the Manage Server permission in that server. Or paste the URL of a webhook you made in Discord.

Your posts show the webhook’s name and picture as the sender. Change them in Discord, in the webhook’s settings.

### Does the OmniSocials MCP read my Discord server?

No. A webhook only posts to its channel: your agent doesn’t read the messages, members or other channels of your server, and doesn’t reply, moderate or send DMs. Discord isn’t in the Social Inbox.

OmniSocials only reads back the messages it sent, for their reactions and a poll’s votes. Discord gives a webhook no views, reach or member count, so your agent compares your posts by their reactions.

### Will it ping @everyone?

No, not unless you ask. Mentions are off by default: @everyone, @here, roles and people in the text show as text and notify nobody, so a scheduled post never pings your whole server by accident. Your agent switches pings on for a post only when you ask it to. To skip the push notification as well, ask for a silent post.

### Can my agent create Discord polls?

Yes. The post text is the question, up to 300 characters, with 2 to 10 answers of up to 55 characters. Your agent keeps the poll open from 1 hour to 32 days (24 hours unless you say otherwise) and allows one answer or several per person. A poll goes out without media or link buttons. The votes per answer show on the post’s page in OmniSocials and in the REST API.

### Can it post to a Discord forum channel?

Yes. Your agent gives the post a title of up to 100 characters, and the message opens a new post in your forum or media channel, where Discord needs a title. In a text or announcement channel, the post goes out without one.

### Can it post to more than one Discord channel?

Each workspace connects one Discord channel. To post to another channel, connect it in a second workspace: your agent switches between your workspaces and posts to each one.

### Can the agent edit or delete a sent Discord message?

Your agent can change drafts and scheduled posts, but a sent Discord message can’t be edited from OmniSocials. Delete from Discord on the post’s page in OmniSocials removes the message at any time; after you reconnect with a new webhook, delete older messages in Discord itself.

When your agent deletes a post, it’s removed from OmniSocials only, and the message stays in Discord.

### Is it safe to let an agent post to Discord?

Yes. Your agent only works through your OmniSocials workspace and the one channel you connected, and never sees a Discord login or your webhook’s URL. Pings stay off unless you ask for them. Send its posts through an approval workflow and nothing goes out before a teammate or client approves it, or ask it to save drafts for you to check.

### Does the Discord MCP server need a paid plan?

It needs an active OmniSocials plan or the 14-day free trial; without one, the server turns the connection down. The trial needs a card to start.

Discord and the MCP server come with the one plan, like every other channel and feature, with no credits per post: $10 per seat per month billed annually, or $12 billed monthly.

### How do I connect Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor to Discord?

Connect your Discord channel in OmniSocials first. In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors, click Add, choose Add custom connector and paste https://mcp.omnisocials.com. In ChatGPT, add the same URL as a custom MCP server under Plugins; in Cursor, put it in ~/.cursor/mcp.json. Each one sends you to OmniSocials to sign in and pick a workspace.
