## FAQ

### Can you schedule Discord messages?

Yes. OmniSocials schedules messages and announcements for your Discord channel on one calendar with your other channels, and sends them at the time you pick: text in Discord Markdown, up to 10 images, GIFs and videos, polls, link buttons and forum posts. The message waits in OmniSocials, not in Discord, until it goes out.

### Do I need a Discord bot?

No. OmniSocials posts through an incoming webhook of your channel: there is no bot to add to your server, nothing to host and no token that runs out. In OmniSocials, open Channels and pick Discord. Continue with Discord opens Discord’s own screen, where you choose your server and a text channel. You need the Manage Server permission in that server.

Or make the webhook yourself: in Discord, open Server Settings, then Integrations, then Webhooks, press New Webhook, pick the channel, copy the webhook URL and paste it in OmniSocials.

### Can ChatGPT or Claude post to Discord for me?

Yes. Connect the OmniSocials MCP server to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any other MCP client and ask in plain words. It schedules messages, polls, link buttons and forum posts with the Discord options, and reads how many reactions each post got. It posts through your channel’s webhook, so it doesn’t read your server or reply in it. With an approval workflow, nothing goes out before someone approves it.

The REST API takes the same options in its discord object, and gives the reactions per emoji and a poll’s votes, like the post’s page in OmniSocials. Webhooks tell your app when a post is scheduled, approved, rejected, published or failed.

### Will a scheduled post ping @everyone?

No, not unless you want it to. Mentions are off by default: @everyone, @here, roles and people in the text show as text and notify nobody, so a scheduled post never pings your whole server by accident. Switch on Ping @everyone and roles for a post that should. To skip the push notification as well, send the post silently.

### Can I post to a Discord forum channel?

Yes. Give the post a title in the Discord options, up to 100 characters, and the message opens a new post in your forum or media channel. Discord needs a title there. In a text or announcement channel, leave the title empty.

### Which files can I post to Discord?

Up to 10 files per message, and images, GIFs and videos can mix. Photos in JPEG, PNG or WebP go up to 40 MB, and OmniSocials turns one over 20 MB into a JPEG that fits. Videos in MP4, MOV or WebM go up to 1 GB, with no limit on length.

Videos and GIFs of up to 20 MB are attached. A bigger one goes as a link in the message, and Discord plays it in the chat. The text takes up to 2,000 characters, and most emoji count as two.

### Which name and picture do my posts show?

Every post shows your webhook’s name and picture as the sender, the way Discord shows any webhook message. Change them in Discord, in the webhook’s settings. A post can’t set a name or picture of its own.

### Can I edit or delete a sent post?

A sent Discord message can’t be edited from OmniSocials, so check it in the preview first. Delete from Discord on the post’s page removes the message at any time, together with the message that holds its video links, if it needed one. After you reconnect with a new webhook, delete older posts in Discord itself.

### Which analytics do I get for Discord?

The reactions on every post, in total and per emoji, and the votes per answer of a poll. Discord gives a webhook no views, reach or member count, so those show N/A in OmniSocials. Open a message in Discord to see who reacted.

### Can I connect several Discord channels?

Each workspace connects one Discord channel. A second channel goes in a second workspace.

### Can I repost my Instagram posts to Discord?

Yes. A repost automation copies new posts from Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Threads, Bluesky, Mastodon, Pinterest or your LinkedIn Page into your Discord channel, at the time you set. A repost carries no post title, so it goes to a text channel, not a forum.

### Is Discord included in my plan?

Yes. Discord comes with the one plan, like every other channel, with no credits per post. The plan is $10 per seat per month billed annually, or $12 billed monthly, and every account starts with a 14-day free trial.
