# Analytics dashboard

> Track how your channels and posts perform, and find the best time to post.

Last updated: 2026-10-23 | Canonical: https://omnisocials.com/help-center/analytics/dashboard

Analytics shows how the channels and posts in the selected workspace perform. This article covers the overview, the detail page of each metric, the page of each post, the best time to post, and downloading a report.

You need the **Can Access Analytics** permission to open Analytics.

## Open Analytics

Click **Analytics** in the sidebar. The bar at the top holds:

- **Analytics** and **Reports**, to switch between the overview and the report.
- The channel filter in the middle. Choose **All channels** or one connected channel.
- **Add** and **Edit**, to change the cards on the overview.
- The date range on the right.

Analytics opens on the last 30 days. Click the date range to pick a preset, such as **Last 7 days**, **This month** or **Last year**, or to choose your own dates.

## The overview cards

Each card shows one metric for the selected period, the change compared with the period of the same length just before it, and a small chart. A new overview starts with **Followers**, **Impressions**, **Engagements** and **Published Posts**.

You can choose from these cards:

- **Followers**: your total audience across the selected channels. The change is the net growth in the period.
- **Impressions**: how often the posts published in the period were seen.
- **Published Posts**: the number of posts published in the period.
- **Engagements**: likes, comments, shares, saves and other interactions on the posts published in the period.
- **Engagement Rate**: engagements divided by impressions, for the posts published in the period.
- **Reach**: the unique accounts that saw the posts published in the period.
- **Clicks**: link clicks, pin clicks and other clicks, where the channel reports them.
- **Link clicks**: clicks on links in your posts.
- **Video Views**: plays of video posts, such as reels, shorts, TikToks and video pins.
- **Best Time to Post**: the hour and weekday that work best for your channels.
- **Posting Streak**: how many weeks in a row you published at least one post.

Post metrics belong to the posts published in the selected period, counted on the day each post was published.

> **Note:** Not every platform reports every metric. When none of the selected channels report a metric, its card shows **N/A** with the reason. For example, Facebook, X, Pinterest, YouTube, Threads, Bluesky and Mastodon don't report reach. Telegram reports reactions, poll votes and subscribers, but no views or reach, because Telegram doesn't give view counts to bots. See [Telegram](/help-center/integrations/telegram#analytics). Discord reports reactions and poll votes only: a Discord webhook gets no views, reach or member count. See [Discord](/help-center/integrations/discord#analytics).

### Change the cards

To add cards:

1. Click **Add**.
2. Select the cards you want.
3. Click **Apply**.

To reorder or remove cards:

1. Click **Edit**.
2. Drag cards into a new order, or click the X on a card to remove it.
3. Click **Done**.

OmniSocials remembers your cards in this browser.

## Posts and accounts

Below the cards are two tabs:

- **Posts**: every post published in the period, with its impressions, reach, likes, comments, shares, saves, clicks, link clicks and engagement rate. Click a column to sort by it.
- **Accounts**: every metric for each connected channel.

## Look at one post

Click a post in the Posts tab of Analytics, or a published post on the Posts page, to open its page. Your other published posts are listed on the left, and **Back** takes you to where you came from.

At the top are the caption, when the post went out, its channels and its type, with the post's status. Click **Preview** to see the post as it looks on each channel, in a panel on the right. The **⋯** menu has **Edit post**, **Duplicate post** and **Delete post**.

When a channel didn't post, a line says why, with a button for the next step, such as **Try again** or reconnecting the channel. Click **Details** for the full message.

Below that are the numbers:

- **Views**, **Likes**, **Comments**, **Shares** and **Engagement**, each with the change since the last check. Click a card to show that number in the chart.
- The chart shows the number over time, **By channel** or as a **Total**. Under the chart, each channel shows when its numbers are checked next, or **Final** when there are no more checks.
- A table with each channel's share of the views, its likes, comments, shares and engagement, and link clicks when a channel reports them. Click the link icon on a row to open the live post on that platform.

The first numbers can take up to 2 hours after publishing.

## Look at one metric in detail

Click a card to open its detail page. It shows:

- The total for the period, the change, and a chart of each day.
- **Stats**: this period, the previous period, the change, and averages per day and per post.
- **Highlights**: the best day, the number of days with activity, your top channel, and the number of channels.
- **Channels**: every metric for each channel, sorted by the metric you opened.

![The detail page of one metric, with the daily chart, the Stats and Highlights panels, and the channels table](https://cdn.omnisocials.com/file/omnisocials-website-assets/help-center/analytics/dashboard/metric.webp)

Click **Analytics** at the top left to go back to the overview.

## Find the best time to post

The **Best Time to Post** card shows the best hour and weekday to publish. Click it to open the detail page with:

- A heatmap of every day and hour, and the best hour for each day of the week.
- **Top times**: the five best time slots.
- **Based on**: what each channel's recommendation uses. That's your own posts, when your audience is online, both, or an industry average when there isn't enough data yet. It also shows how many posts were analysed, the time window, and your time zone.

Times are shown in your time zone. The more you publish, the more the recommendation is based on your own posts.

## Download a report

1. Click **Reports** at the top of Analytics.
2. Choose the channels and date range.
3. Click **Download PDF**.
4. In your browser's print window, choose to save the report as a PDF.

The report starts with your workspace, the period and the period it's compared with. Then it shows:

- **Impressions**, **Reach**, **Engagements**, **Engagement rate**, **Followers** and **Video views**, each with the change against the period before.
- **Impressions per day**, by the day the posts were published.
- **Channels**: one card per channel with its impressions, followers, engagement rate and number of posts. A channel that had no posts in the period before shows **New** instead of a change.
- **Audience** and **Profile activity**, when your channels report them.
- **Posts**: the posts of the period, the most seen first. Click a caption to open the post, or a channel icon to open the live post on that platform.
- How impressions, engagements and the change are counted.

Sections without data are left out.

> **Note:** X statistics aren't collected without an active plan or trial.
