# Manage your team

> Invite team members and clients, choose their workspaces and remove access.

Last updated: 2026-10-11 | Canonical: https://omnisocials.com/help-center/organization/team-management

Team members are the people in your organization who work in OmniSocials with you. Clients are outside reviewers who get access to one workspace. This article covers inviting both, choosing which workspaces team members can access, and removing people.

## Open the Team page

1. Click your name at the bottom of the sidebar, then **Settings**.
2. Click **Team**. If you belong to more than one organization, choose it in the switcher above the organization pages first.

The table shows each **Member** with their **Status**, **Role**, **Workspaces** and the date they **Joined**. Status is **Active** for people who joined and **Pending** for open invitations. Next to **Invite member**, a ring and a line such as **7 of 8 extra users** show how many of your extra user seats are in use. Hover over it to see how many go to team members and how many to clients.

## Seats

Everyone except the organization owner uses an extra user seat, and that includes clients. A seat costs $12 per month, or $10 per month when billed yearly. During your free trial, seats you add are free until the trial ends.

If no seat is free when you invite someone and you have the **Manage billing** permission, the invite dialog adds a seat for you and its button reads **Add seat and send invite**. Without that permission, OmniSocials asks you to raise your user limit first. To learn more, see [Billing and subscription](/help-center/organization/billing).

## Invite a team member

1. On the Team page, click **Invite member**.
2. Enter the person's **Email address**.
3. Choose a **Role**. The line under it says what the role is for.
4. Under **Workspaces**, tick the workspaces they can access. Tick **All workspaces** to select or clear them all. The count next to **Workspaces** shows how many you picked. Admins open every workspace, so for them there is nothing to pick.
5. Click **Send invite**.

The person gets an email with a link to join. They show as **pending** on the Team page until they accept. Invitations expire after 7 days. You need the **Add members** permission to invite people.

### What the invited person does

1. They open the link in the invitation email.
2. They sign in, or create an account, with the email address the invitation was sent to.
3. They check the organization, workspaces and role, and click **Accept invitation**.

They can also click **Decline**.

### Manage a pending invitation

Click **...** on a pending row and choose:

- **Copy invite link**: copy the link from the invitation email, for example to send it another way if the email didn't arrive.
- **Resend invite**: send the email again. The invitation is valid for another 7 days.
- **Cancel invitation**: withdraw the invitation.

## Change a member's role

Click the member's role in the **Role** column and choose another role. The change applies right away. You need the **Update member roles** permission. You can't change your own role or the owner's.

> **Note:** Owners and admins always have access to every workspace, so their **Workspaces** column reads **All workspaces**. If you change an admin to another role, choose their workspaces again in the **Workspaces** column.

To learn what each role can do, see [Roles and permissions](/help-center/organization/roles-permissions).

## Choose which workspaces a member can access

1. In the **Workspaces** column, click the member's workspace count, for example **2 workspaces**.
2. Select or clear the workspaces they can access.

You need the **Manage workspace access** permission. You can't change your own access.

## Remove a member

1. Click **...** at the end of the member's row.
2. Click **Remove member**.
3. Press and hold the red button for 4 seconds.

The person loses access to your organization right away. Their OmniSocials account and the posts they created stay. Removing someone doesn't lower your number of seats. To pay for fewer seats, click **Adjust limit** under **Extra users** on the Billing page. You need the **Remove members** permission, and you can't remove the owner.

## Add a client

Clients review and approve posts for one workspace.

1. Click your name at the bottom of the sidebar, then **Settings**.
2. Click **Clients**.
3. Click **Invite client**.
4. Enter the client's **Email address**.
5. Choose a client **Role**.
6. Under **Workspace**, choose the workspace they review.
7. Optionally, write a **Personal message** for the invitation.
8. Click **Send invite**.

![The Add client window: the client's email, the Client role, one workspace and an optional personal message](https://cdn.omnisocials.com/file/omnisocials-website-assets/help-center/organization/team-management/clients.webp)

A client can always see the calendar and posts of their workspace, open posts waiting for their approval, comment on each channel's version, and approve or reject. Clients never create, publish or delete posts, and never change settings, channels, team or billing. A client role can also give access to analytics and the social inbox of their workspace.

On the Clients page you can change a client's role in the **Role** column. To remove a client, click **...** on their row and click **Remove client**, or **Cancel invitation** if they haven't joined yet.
