# How often should you post on Pinterest in 2026?

> Post fresh Pins every week, and about one a day if you can keep it up. What Pinterest says, what a 1.2 million Pin study found, and a weekly plan.

Every week, says Pinterest, and fresh Pins count more than repeats. Schedulers advise 1 to 5 fresh Pins a day. No large study ties more Pins to more growth, so pick a pace you can keep.

## The short answer: Fresh Pins every week, about one a day if you can keep it up.

Pinterest's guidance is weekly. Its 2025 audience guide says "It's best to add more content every week" and to focus on the content "rather than anchoring to a specific number of Pins per week". In 2022 it called weekly posting "a good rule of thumb".

No large study ties posting more often to faster growth on Pinterest. The data does show that fresh Pins matter: in Tailwind's study, a new image on a link you had already Pinned kept 64% of its reach, while the same image and link kept 11%. Schedulers such as Tailwind advise 1 to 5 fresh Pins a day.

- **Pinterest's advice**: Every week (No set number (2025))
- **Scheduler advice**: 1 to 5 a day (Fresh Pins (Tailwind))
- **Repeated Pins**: 11% (Reach left for the same image and link)

## Plan a week at your pace

- **Weekly**: 2 posts a week (Tue 8:00 PM pin, Thu 7:00 PM pin). Pinterest's baseline: add fresh Pins every week.
- **Daily**: 7 posts a week (Mon 8:00 PM pin, Tue 12:00 PM pin, Wed 10:00 AM video, Thu 7:00 PM pin, Fri 8:30 PM pin, Sat 12:00 PM pin, Sun 8:00 PM pin). About one fresh Pin a day, the low end of what Tailwind and RecurPost advise.
- **Growth**: 21 posts a week (Mon 10:30 AM pin, Mon 8:00 PM pin, Mon 10:00 PM video, Tue 9:00 AM pin, Tue 12:00 PM pin, Tue 8:30 PM pin, Wed 10:00 AM pin, Wed 3:00 PM video, Wed 8:30 PM pin, Thu 10:30 AM pin, Thu 6:30 PM pin, Thu 8:30 PM pin, Fri 10:00 AM pin, Fri 12:00 PM video, Fri 8:30 PM pin, Sat 11:00 AM pin, Sat 1:00 PM pin, Sat 8:30 PM pin, Sun 10:00 AM pin, Sun 8:00 PM pin, Sun 9:30 PM pin). 3 a day, inside the 1 to 5 fresh Pins a day Tailwind advises.
- **All in**: 35 posts a week (Mon 10:00 AM pin, Mon 12:30 PM pin, Mon 2:30 PM video, Mon 8:00 PM pin, Mon 10:00 PM pin, Tue 8:30 AM pin, Tue 10:30 AM pin, Tue 12:00 PM video, Tue 8:00 PM pin, Tue 9:30 PM pin, Wed 9:00 AM pin, Wed 11:00 AM pin, Wed 3:00 PM pin, Wed 6:30 PM video, Wed 8:30 PM pin, Thu 10:00 AM pin, Thu 12:30 PM pin, Thu 3:00 PM pin, Thu 6:30 PM pin, Thu 8:30 PM video, Fri 9:30 AM pin, Fri 12:00 PM pin, Fri 4:00 PM video, Fri 8:00 PM pin, Fri 9:30 PM pin, Sat 10:30 AM pin, Sat 1:00 PM video, Sat 7:30 PM pin, Sat 8:30 PM pin, Sat 10:00 PM pin, Sun 9:30 AM pin, Sun 11:00 AM pin, Sun 4:00 PM pin, Sun 8:00 PM video, Sun 9:30 PM pin). 5 a day, the top of Tailwind's range. Only if every Pin is fresh.

## How many Pins, at each pace. Advice, not results from a growth study.

| Pace | Pins | Based on |
|---|---|---|
| Minimum | Every week | Pinterest Business, 2022 and 2025 |
| Steady | About 1 a day | The low end of Tailwind's and RecurPost's advice |
| Growth | 3 to 5 a day | RecurPost: 3 to 5 "for optimal growth"; Tailwind: 1 to 5 |
| Ceiling | About 10 a day | RecurPost's "safe maximum"; Tailwind: avoid over 50 a day |

Tailwind (September 2025) and RecurPost (September 2026) are schedulers. Their numbers are recommendations; neither publishes a study linking pace to growth.

## Fresh Pins keep their reach, repeats lose it. Tailwind's study of about 1.2 million Pins.

| Finding | Number | Published |
|---|---|---|
| New image on a link Pinned 11 to 25 times before | Kept 64% of its reach | Mar 2025 |
| Same image and link again | Kept 11% of its reach | Mar 2025 |
| New Pins with no impressions after a week | About 20% | Mar 2025 |
| Saves that came from Pins over a year old | Over 60% | Nov 2024 |
| Top 1% of new Pins, share of impressions and clicks | Over 50% | Nov 2024 |

Tailwind's 2025 Benchmark Study: about 1.2 million organic Pins from 17,000+ accounts, 2023 to 2024. Vendor data; about 26% of the Pins were published through Tailwind.

## What Pinterest's own scheduler holds. Schedulers post through the API at the set time.

| Limit | Pinterest app | Schedulers (the API) |
|---|---|---|
| Pins scheduled at once | Up to 10 | Set by the scheduler |
| How far ahead | Up to 30 days | Set by the scheduler |
| Account type | Business accounts only | Depends on the scheduler |
| Boards per account | Up to 2,000 | Up to 2,000 |
| Pins per personal account | Up to 200,000 | Up to 200,000 |

Pinterest Help Center and developer docs, read on October 17, 2026. At one Pin a day, Pinterest's own scheduler holds 10 days of Pins.

## What changed for posting frequency. Show up early, and often.

- **Jan 2026: Show up early, and often** Pinterest's 2026 brand moments guide: "Show up early (and often!)". Seasonal searches build months ahead, so a steady flow before the peak counts. (https://business.pinterest.com/blog/pinterest-brand-moments-guide-2026/)
- **Jul 2025: Every week, no set number** Pinterest: "It's best to add more content every week", but "Rather than anchoring to a specific number of Pins per week, focus on the content itself." (https://business.pinterest.com/blog/how-to-build-audience-pinterest/)

## Post more without burning out. Fresh beats frequent.

1. **Start weekly, then add** Pinterest's baseline is every week. Move to one a day when that feels easy, and only then try more.
2. **Make every Pin fresh** Pinterest says fresh Pins "help you to reach new people regularly". In Tailwind's data, repeating the same image and link kept only 11% of the reach.
3. **Give each link several images** A new image on a link you already Pinned kept 64% of its reach in Tailwind's study. One blog post can carry several fresh Pins.
4. **Batch the week, then schedule it** Pinterest's own scheduler holds 10 Pins, up to 30 days ahead. A scheduler that posts through the API can queue the whole month.
5. **Plan seasonal Pins two months out** Pinterest's rule of thumb: "If the moment peaks in June, launch in April." Keep posting through the planning window.
6. **Judge your pace over months** Reach for a new Pin kept growing over its first 90 days in Tailwind's data. Give a new pace two to three months before you change it.

## Schedule it with OmniSocials

Plan the whole week of Pins in one sitting, or let your AI agent fill it in. OmniSocials schedules posts to Pinterest and 11 more networks from one calendar, and AI agents (Claude, ChatGPT and others) can plan and schedule through its MCP server. $10 per seat a month billed yearly, $12 monthly; 14-day free trial, a card is needed to start it. https://omnisocials.com/pricing

## Sources and method

The frequency guidance comes from Pinterest's business blog (2022, 2025 and 2026) and its Help Center. The data comes from Tailwind's 2025 Benchmark Study of about 1.2 million organic Pins, which is vendor data. No study we found links Pinterest posting frequency to growth the way Buffer's studies do for other networks, so the paces above weekly are labeled as schedulers' advice, not results.

## FAQ

### How often should you post on Pinterest?

Every week at least, which is Pinterest's own advice, and about one fresh Pin a day if you can keep it up. Pinterest says quality and relevance matter more than frequency, so do not trade fresh Pins for volume.

### How many Pins should you post a day on Pinterest?

Pinterest names no number. Schedulers advise 1 to 5 fresh Pins a day (Tailwind), and RecurPost calls 3 to 5 a day optimal and about 10 a safe maximum. These are recommendations, not study results.

### Is it bad to post on Pinterest every day?

No. One fresh Pin a day sits at the low end of what schedulers advise. What hurts is repeating yourself: a reused image and link kept 11% of its reach in Tailwind's data.

### Can you post too much on Pinterest?

Pinterest's guidance names no daily maximum. Tailwind advises against more than 50 a day, and Pinterest's 2022 guide says "Quality and relevance matter more than frequency on Pinterest."

### Should I repin my old Pins?

Make a fresh Pin instead. In Tailwind's study, a new image on an existing link kept 64% of its reach, while the same image and link kept 11%.

### How long does a new Pin take to get views?

Often longer than a week. About 20% of new Pins had no impressions after a week in Tailwind's 2025 data, and reach kept growing over the first 90 days.

### How many Pins can I schedule on Pinterest?

In Pinterest itself, up to 10 Pins at a time, up to 30 days ahead, on business accounts. Schedulers post through Pinterest's API at the set time, so their queue is not tied to that limit.

### How often should a business post on Pinterest?

The same baseline applies: fresh Pins every week, and more when you have the content. Pinterest's 2026 advice for seasonal moments is to show up early and often, starting about two months before the peak.

### Can OmniSocials show how often I post?

Yes. Analytics has a posting streak card that counts your posts per week, and the calendar shows the week ahead, drafts included, so gaps are easy to spot.
