- **Auth:** OAuth sign-in, or an API key for agents that run on their own
- **Discovery file:** https://omnisocials.com/.well-known/mcp.json
- **Docs:** https://docs.omnisocials.com/mcp-server

- **With your AI agent:** Connect Claude, ChatGPT or any MCP client to LinkedIn with the OmniSocials MCP server. Your agent posts carousels and polls to your profile, adds the first comment and reads your reach, through LinkedIn's official API.
- **With your coding agent:** Claude Code and Codex add the OmniSocials MCP server with one command, and agents that run on their own use an API key. Or call the LinkedIn Profile API from your own code.

## What your agent does

Ask in plain words. Your agent posts as you through the MCP server, in LinkedIn's own formats.

- **Slides into a document carousel.** Two or more images go out as one swipeable document, titled with your first line. (`create_post`, `upload_media`)
- **The link in the first comment.** Keep links out of your text. It posts as you, right after the post. (`update_post`, `get_post`)
- **Your profile and your Page, at once.** One request, two posts, each in its own words. (`create_post`, `list_accounts`)
- **Know what reached people.** Reach and saves per post, and the best time for the next one. (`get_post_analytics`, `get_best_times`)

## Setup

Connected in a minute. One URL and one sign-in. No API key for chat apps.

1. **Connect your LinkedIn profile.** Sign in with LinkedIn once. Your company Page can join too.
2. **Add the server to your agent.** Paste one URL as a custom connector, or run one command.
3. **Sign in and pick a workspace.** OAuth in the browser. Agents that run on their own use an API key.

- **Claude:** Customize > Connectors > Add custom connector > Paste the URL. Claude sends you to OmniSocials to sign in. No API key needed. Guide: https://omnisocials.com/claude
- **Claude Code:** `claude mcp add --transport http omnisocials https://mcp.omnisocials.com`. Then type /mcp in Claude Code and sign in to OmniSocials. Guide: https://omnisocials.com/claude-code
- **Codex:** `codex mcp add omnisocials --url https://mcp.omnisocials.com`. Then run codex mcp login omnisocials to sign in. Guide: https://omnisocials.com/codex
- **API key:** `claude mcp add --transport http omnisocials https://mcp.omnisocials.com --header "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY"`. For agents that run on their own. Create the key in Settings, API Keys. Docs: https://docs.omnisocials.com/mcp-server

## FAQ

### What is the LinkedIn MCP server?

It is the OmniSocials MCP server with your personal LinkedIn profile connected, and your company Page too if you like. Your AI agent calls its tools to post document carousels and polls, add a first comment and read how your posts did, through LinkedIn's official API. The server lives at https://mcp.omnisocials.com, and the same tools post to your other channels too.

### Can my agent turn images into a carousel?

Yes. Give it two or more images and they go out as one swipeable LinkedIn document, titled with the first line of your text. Ask for a plain image gallery and it posts that instead. A PDF goes out as the original file, with sharp text and working links.

### Can it put the link in the first comment?

Yes. A first comment of up to 1,250 characters posts under your post, as you, right after it goes live. Your agent can add one to a post that is already scheduled.

### Can it run polls on my profile?

Yes. A poll has a question of up to 140 characters, 2 to 4 options of up to 30 characters, and runs for 1 day, 3 days, 1 week or 2 weeks. A poll post carries no media or link.

### Can it answer comments on my profile posts?

No. LinkedIn comments reach the OmniSocials inbox for company Pages only, so the comments on your profile posts stay on LinkedIn. Connect your company Page to have your agent answer the Page's comments.

### Is there an official LinkedIn MCP server?

Not that we know of (October 2026). The LinkedIn MCP servers you find on GitHub are third-party, and the best-known one reads profiles, jobs and messages through your logged-in browser; its own README warns that automated access may break LinkedIn's terms.

OmniSocials works through LinkedIn's official API, with your own LinkedIn sign-in. It is for publishing on your own profile and Page and reading their numbers, not for scraping other people.

### How do I connect Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor to your LinkedIn profile?

Connect your profile in OmniSocials first. In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors, click Add, choose Add custom connector and paste https://mcp.omnisocials.com. In ChatGPT, add the same URL as a custom MCP server under Plugins; in Cursor, put it in ~/.cursor/mcp.json. Each one sends you to OmniSocials to sign in and pick a workspace.

### Can an AI agent post to LinkedIn safely?

Yes. Your agent can send a post through an approval workflow: it waits until a teammate or client approves it, and only then goes out at its time. You can also ask your agent to save drafts, or to show you each post before it schedules it.

### Does the LinkedIn MCP server need a paid plan?

It needs an active OmniSocials plan or the 14-day free trial; without one, the server turns the connection down. The trial needs a card to start, and the MCP server is part of the one plan, like every other feature.

### How much does OmniSocials cost?

One plan with every feature included: $10 per seat per month billed annually, or $12 billed monthly. Team members and client seats cost the same. Every account starts with a 14-day free trial.
