Pinterest's Pin specs put organic video Pins at a minimum of 4 seconds and a maximum of 5 minutes, and the Pin camera records up to 5 minutes. Pinterest recommends 9:16 at 1080 × 1920 for full-screen video, encoded as H.264 or H.265.

1. **Keep video Pins under 5 minutes** That is Pinterest's limit for organic video Pins. Cut a longer video into parts, each with its own fresh Pin.
2. **Shoot 9:16 at 1080 × 1920** Pinterest recommends it for full-screen video. 2:3, 3:4, 4:5, 1:1 and 1:2 are also accepted.
3. **Keep text in the safe zone** On a 1080 × 1920 video, keep text 270 px from the top and 790 px from the bottom, Pinterest's safe zone, so it stays readable on any device.
4. **Pick the cover yourself** A video Pin needs a cover image or a frame. Choose a frame that reads as a still image in the feed.
5. **Ads: aim for 6 to 15 seconds** Pinterest allows video ads up to 15 minutes but recommends 6 to 15 seconds.
