## FAQ

### Can you schedule Pinterest Pins?

Yes. Pinterest’s own scheduler can hold a Pin for later. OmniSocials schedules image, carousel and video Pins on one calendar with your other channels, puts each on the board you pick and publishes it on its own at the time you pick.

### What can I post to Pinterest?

Image Pins, carousel Pins of 2 to 5 images and video Pins of up to 15 minutes. Each post publishes one Pin on the board you pick, with a description of up to 800 characters and, if you like, a title of up to 100 characters, a destination link and alt text.

Carousel images need the same aspect ratio. OmniSocials checks that when you schedule and names the slide to fix. Every Pin can also carry product tags: up to 24 of your own products, which people can shop right from the Pin.

### Which boards can I post to?

The boards of the Pinterest account you connect: your own boards and the group boards you joined. Secret boards don’t show up. Need a new one? Make it right from the composer and it becomes the Pin’s board.

Each Pin goes to one board, and board sections aren’t supported. Each workspace connects one Pinterest account. A second account goes in a second workspace.

### How do video Pins work?

Upload a video of up to 15 minutes. If Pinterest can’t take the file as it is, OmniSocials converts it before it goes out.

Pick the cover from a frame of the video or an image of your own. Without one, Pinterest shows the frame at one second. Video Pins carry the title, link and alt text too.

### Can I tag products on my Pins?

Yes. Tag up to 24 of your own product Pins on a Pin, and people can shop them right from it. Pick them from your Pinterest catalog (select Connect catalog once, the only time OmniSocials asks for catalog access) or paste the link of a product Pin.

If Pinterest refuses a product, your Pin still goes out, and the post page tells you which product wasn’t tagged and why. No catalog on your account yet? OmniSocials tells you so and links you to Pinterest to add your products. Through the API, send the products in pinterest.product_tags and list them with GET /pinterest/products. AI agents use the list_pinterest_products tool.

### Does OmniSocials publish to Pinterest automatically?

Yes. Every Pin goes out on its own at the time you pick, with no reminder or phone notification to act on. OmniSocials keeps the queue and publishes through Pinterest’s official API.

If a post fails on a temporary error, OmniSocials retries it up to 3 times, 15 minutes apart. You can also retry it yourself, and only the failed platforms publish again.

### Which Pinterest analytics do I get?

Per Pin: impressions, saves, Pin clicks, outbound clicks, reactions, comments, profile visits and follows, with the save, Pin click and outbound click rates. Video Pins add views, starts, 10-second views, completion rate and watch time.

For the account: followers, monthly views, Pins and boards, plus daily views, clicks and saves. Reach and audience demographics aren’t shown for Pinterest, and the numbers go back 90 days.

### Can I turn my Instagram posts into Pins?

Yes. A repost automation pins your posts from Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Threads, Bluesky, Mastodon or your LinkedIn Page to the board you pick: new posts, posts you already published, or both. The Pin’s title is the caption’s first line, and posts need an image or a video.

A Pin needs a description, so posts without a caption are skipped.

It works the other way too: your image Pins can be reposted to your other channels.

### Can ChatGPT or Claude post to Pinterest for me?

Yes. Connect the OmniSocials MCP server to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any other MCP client and ask in plain words: the account lists its boards, so your agent picks one, writes the Pin and schedules it. With an approval workflow, nothing goes out before someone approves it.

Image, carousel and video Pins are also in the REST API and the official SDKs, with the board, title, link, alt text, video cover and product tags as fields. New boards are made in the app.

Webhooks tell your app when a post is scheduled, approved, rejected, published or failed.

### Can I answer Pinterest comments?

No. Pinterest comments don’t come into the Social Inbox. Analytics shows how many comments each Pin got.
