- create_post: Schedule a post, album or poll, with link buttons, a pin, silent sending and the other Telegram options.
- create_and_publish_post: Post to Telegram right away, with the same options.

- check_media_compatibility: Check a file's size and format first. Videos go up to 50 MB.

- get_posts_analytics: The reactions on many posts at once, to compare them.
- get_account_analytics: Your channel's subscribers or your group's members.

## FAQ

### Is there an official Telegram MCP server?

OmniSocials runs a hosted MCP server at https://mcp.omnisocials.com that posts to Telegram channels and groups through Telegram's Bot API. You don't host anything or create a bot: you connect your chat in OmniSocials, add the server to your agent, and the same tools post to your other channels too.

### Can Claude post to my Telegram channel?

Yes. Once your channel is connected in OmniSocials and the MCP server is added to Claude, ask in plain words. Claude schedules the post, album or poll with the Telegram options, or posts it right away, and gets its link once it's out. ChatGPT, Cursor and other MCP clients work the same way.

### Do I need to create a Telegram bot?

No. There is no bot token and no BotFather. In OmniSocials, open Channels, pick Telegram and press Connect. The OmniSocials bot opens in Telegram: press Start, tap Choose a channel or Choose a group, and pick your chat in Telegram's own picker. OmniSocials checks that you are an admin of that chat.

Each workspace connects one Telegram channel or group.

### Can my agent post to a Telegram group?

Yes, to a group or a supergroup. In a group, posts appear as the OmniSocials bot, which joins as a member. In a channel, they appear as your channel.

To pin posts in a group, or to get the reactions on them, make the bot an admin of the group yourself, with the Pin messages right for pinning. In a channel, both work right away.

### Can an agent create Telegram polls?

Yes. The post text is the question, up to 300 characters, with 2 to 12 answers of up to 100 characters. Your agent sets one answer or several per person, and keeps the poll open until it's closed or for up to 30 days. Polls are anonymous, and go out without media or buttons.

### Can it read views or messages?

No views: Telegram gives bots no view counts, so your agent reads the reactions on each post and your subscriber count instead. The votes of a poll show on the post's page in OmniSocials.

The bot doesn't read the messages in your chat, so there are no replies, comments or DMs for your agent to answer. Telegram isn't in the Social Inbox.

### Can the agent edit a sent Telegram post?

No. Your agent can change drafts and scheduled posts, but a sent Telegram post can't be edited from OmniSocials. Within 48 hours of sending, Delete from Telegram on the post's page in OmniSocials removes it from the chat.

### Is it safe to let an agent post to Telegram?

Yes. Your agent only works through your OmniSocials workspace and the one chat you connected, and never gets a Telegram login or a bot token. Send its posts through an approval workflow and nothing goes out before a teammate or client approves it, or ask it to save drafts for you to check.

### Is the Telegram MCP server included in my plan?

Yes. Telegram and the MCP server come with the one plan, like every other channel and feature, with no credits per post. The plan is $10 per seat per month billed annually, or $12 billed monthly.

The server needs an active plan or the 14-day free trial; without one, it turns the connection down. The trial needs a card to start.

### How do I connect Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor to Telegram?

Connect your Telegram channel or group in OmniSocials first. In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors, click Add, choose Add custom connector and paste https://mcp.omnisocials.com. In ChatGPT, add the same URL as a custom MCP server under Plugins; in Cursor, put it in ~/.cursor/mcp.json. Each one sends you to OmniSocials to sign in and pick a workspace.
