### Can you schedule Meta Threads posts?

Yes. Threads can schedule a post in its own app. OmniSocials schedules Threads posts, carousels, polls and whole threads on one calendar with your other channels, checks every part before you schedule and publishes through Threads’ official API.

### What can I post to Threads?

Text posts of up to 500 characters, posts with a photo or a video, carousels of up to 20 photos and videos mixed in any order, polls, and threads of 2 to 25 parts. Every part of a thread can carry its own carousel.

Each part of a thread gets its own 500 characters, 5 links and up to 20 photos and videos, and OmniSocials checks every part before you schedule. Each video can run up to 5 minutes and 1 GB.

### How do I turn a long post into a thread?

Write it on the Threads tab. Once the text goes over 500 characters, Split into thread appears. It cuts the text at sentences into parts of up to 500 characters, and photos you added move to the first part.

Then edit the parts by hand: add a post below, reorder them, or give a part its own photos and videos. Each channel keeps its own thread, so the Threads version can differ from the X or Bluesky one.

### Can I add a poll to a Threads post?

Yes. The post text is the question, with 2 to 4 options of up to 25 characters each. Threads closes the poll 24 hours after the post is published.

A poll replaces the media, so a poll post carries text only. On a thread the poll goes on the first post.

### Why does OmniSocials count the links in my post?

Threads refuses a post with more than 5 different links. OmniSocials counts them before you schedule, in every part of a thread, and tells you which part to fix, so a scheduled post doesn’t fail at publish time. Links written with https:// or www. count; a bare domain does not.

### Does OmniSocials publish to Threads automatically?

Yes. Every Threads post and thread goes out on its own at the time you pick, with no reminder or phone notification to act on. OmniSocials keeps the queue and publishes through Threads’ official API.

If a post fails on a temporary error, OmniSocials retries it up to 3 times, 15 minutes apart. A thread that stopped halfway continues from the first part that didn’t publish, so nothing is posted twice.

### Can I answer Threads replies?

Yes. Replies on your posts and posts that mention you land in the Social Inbox. Answer them there, and hide or unhide replies on your own posts. Hiding works on top-level replies, and deleting replies isn’t supported.

Threads has no direct messages in its API, so there are no DMs to answer.

### Which Threads analytics do I get?

Per post: views, likes, replies, reposts, quotes, shares and poll results. For the account: followers, views, likes, replies, reposts, quotes and link clicks, broken down per link.

Once your profile has 100 followers, you also see where your followers are and their age and gender, updated weekly. There is no reach, saves or clicks per post for Threads.

### Can I repost my Instagram posts to Threads automatically?

Yes. An automation reposts what you publish on Instagram, or another channel, to Threads. When a caption is too long for Threads, you pick once: post it as a thread, cut it at 500 characters, or skip the post. It works the other way too: your Threads posts can be reposted to your other channels.

### Can ChatGPT or Claude post to Threads for me?

Yes. Connect the OmniSocials MCP server to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any other MCP client and ask in plain words: it writes a post or a thread, schedules it and answers the replies. With an approval workflow, nothing goes out before someone approves it.

Posts, carousels, polls and threads, with alt text on every photo and video, are also in the REST API and the official SDKs. Polls are made in the composer or through the API, not through the MCP server.

Webhooks tell your app when a post is scheduled, approved, rejected, published or failed.
