## FAQ

### What is the TikTok MCP server?

It is the OmniSocials MCP server with your TikTok account connected. Your AI agent calls its tools to post videos and photo carousels, answer comments and read your numbers, through TikTok's official API. The server lives at https://mcp.omnisocials.com, and the same tools post to your other channels too.

### Can my agent choose who can watch a video?

Yes. create_post takes TikTok's own settings: who can view (everyone, friends, followers or only you), and whether comments are on. On a video it also sets whether duets and stitches are on.

### Can it post photo carousels?

Yes. A photo post can carry a title of up to 90 characters, and your agent can ask TikTok to add music for it. A post is either photos or one video, not both.

### Can it mark a post as AI-generated or as branded content?

Yes. create_post has fields for promoting your own brand and for a paid partnership with another brand, and for TikTok's AI-generated label on a video.

### Can it answer comments on my videos?

Yes, once you enable comments on the TikTok channel in OmniSocials, which is one more TikTok sign-in. Your agent reads new comments, replies in up to 150 characters, and hides or deletes spam. TikTok has no DMs in OmniSocials.

### Can it read other people's TikTok accounts?

No. It works with the TikTok account you connected: your posts, the comments on your videos and your numbers. It doesn't scrape other profiles, videos or followers.

### How do I connect Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor to TikTok?

Connect TikTok in OmniSocials first. In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors, click Add, choose Add custom connector and paste https://mcp.omnisocials.com. In ChatGPT, add the same URL as a custom MCP server under Plugins; in Cursor, put it in ~/.cursor/mcp.json. Each one sends you to OmniSocials to sign in and pick a workspace.

### Can an AI agent post to TikTok safely?

Yes. Your agent can send a post through an approval workflow: it waits until a teammate or client approves it, and only then goes out at its time. You can also ask your agent to save drafts, or to show you each post before it schedules it.

### Does the TikTok MCP server need a paid plan?

It needs an active OmniSocials plan or the 14-day free trial; without one, the server turns the connection down. The trial needs a card to start, and the MCP server is part of the one plan, like every other feature.

### How much does OmniSocials cost?
