Label posts by hook, format or campaign, then compare the tags in Analytics.
Tag your posts and see what works
Give a post tags such as "Question hook" or "Talking head". Click Tags at the start of the post options in the composer, or Add tag on a post's page. Tags stay in OmniSocials: they never go to Instagram, TikTok or any other channel.
Older posts get their tags in one go. In Analytics, select posts in the Posts list and click Tags.
The new Tags tab in Analytics shows each tag with its posts, median impressions, engagement rate and how far above or below your normal it is. Each post is measured against its own channel, so a tag does not win only because its posts went to the channel with the most views. A tag with fewer than 5 posts says so instead of showing a number.
Use Tags in the Analytics bar to see only the posts with a tag, in every card and chart. The calendar filter and the report have tags too.
Trial reels are marked
A reel that went to Instagram as a trial reel now has a Trial badge in the Posts list, Analytics, the calendar and on its page. Analytics shows your trial reels next to your normal reels, with median views, reach and engagement rate. Instagram does not tell apps whether a trial reel was later shared with your followers, so the badge shows the setting you chose.
Ask people to follow you first
Comment to DM on Instagram can now ask people to follow you before they get your link. Someone comments your keyword, gets a message with a button, and taps it. If they follow you, the link arrives at once. If not, they are asked to follow first and tap again.
Turn it on in the new Follow first step of the automation, or under Ask people to follow you first on the Comment to DM page of a post. Both messages and their buttons are ready to use, and you can change the words.
For a keyword in a DM or a story reply, we check at once: a follower gets the link straight away.
See who followed
The activity of an automation shows who is still Waiting for follow, who already followed, and who followed to get your link.
Follow first works on Instagram only. Facebook does not tell apps who follows a Page, so on Facebook the message goes out at once. If Instagram does not answer the follow check, we send the link anyway.
