Why people are leaving Publer

Analytics need Business. Publer's Professional plan has no analytics, best times to post or competitor analysis. They start on Business: $8 a month for one account, or $5.60 per account once you have three, billed yearly, and Publer's help center puts approval workflows there too.

No inbox for DMs. Publer has no unified inbox. You can reply to comments on published posts from its calendar on 8 networks, but direct messages stay in each platform's own app.

The API and MCP server are Business only. Publer's REST API and its MCP server, announced September 28, 2026, need Business or Enterprise, and the API allows 100 requests per 2 minutes per user. Its docs list no webhooks and no SDKs.

Every account adds to the bill. Publer prices per social account. One brand on 4 platforms costs $12.80 a month on Professional or $22.40 on Business, billed yearly, and each account after that adds $3.20 or $5.60.

The free plan is small. Publer Free holds 3 social accounts, no X, 10 scheduled posts at a time per account and 24 hours of post history, for one user.

What Publer still does better

  • The lowest price for a small setup: Professional costs $4 a month for one account and $1.60 per extra member, billed yearly.
  • A free plan for 3 social accounts.
  • Every network OmniSocials supports, plus WordPress.
  • Bulk and CSV scheduling, RSS automation, and on Business post recycling, recurring posts and Spintax variations.
  • Linkie, its link in bio page, an Instagram and TikTok feed preview, a native mobile app, a browser extension and Canva.

If you want the lowest price per account, a free plan, or bulk and recycling tools, Publer is a strong pick. OmniSocials has no bulk upload, no recycling queue, no link in bio page and no native app yet.

Publer vs OmniSocials pricing

Both prices below are billed yearly and were checked on October 18, 2026. OmniSocials charges per seat: each brand (one workspace) and each teammate is a seat. Publer charges per social account, plus extra members. Per brand, OmniSocials costs less: $10 against $12.80 for 4 accounts on Publer Professional. Per teammate, Publer costs less ($1.60 against a $10 seat), so with a team Professional comes out cheaper, but without analytics, approvals, the API or MCP. Business, which has them, costs more than OmniSocials in all four setups above.

What you get with OmniSocials

One calendar, filled by you or your AI agent

Plan in a week or month view, keep drafts in the tray and preview each post the way each platform shows it. Connect Claude, ChatGPT or another agent through the MCP server, and the posts it schedules land on the same calendar for you to check. How the MCP server works

One inbox for 7 platforms

DMs, comments and mentions from Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, X and Threads in one list, on every seat. Publer has no inbox: you reply to comments from its calendar, and DMs stay in each app. See the inbox

Repost automations

Post on one platform and let an automation repost it to the others on your schedule, for example your Instagram Reels to TikTok, one a day at 9:00 AM. Automations can also bring in your older posts from 8 platforms. See automations

Approvals for teams and clients

Add approval steps per workspace, so a teammate or client signs off before a post goes live. Reviewers comment, request changes or approve, and roles decide who can post, reply or see analytics. Publer's help center lists approval workflows on its Business plan. See collaboration

For developers

Publer has an API and an MCP server too. Here is how they compare.

Publer's REST API and MCP server come with its Business and Enterprise plans and cover posts, media and analytics. OmniSocials gives every seat the REST API, an MCP server with 56 tools, SDKs in 8 languages, a CLI and signed webhooks to post, reply and read analytics on 12 platforms, also during the trial.
