Why people are leaving Metricool
X costs extra. Metricool sells X as an add-on at $10 a month for each connected X account, on Starter and higher. The free plan has no X at all.
Starter is one person. Metricool's help center says Free and Starter include a single access and cannot add users. A teammate or a client who needs a login means Advanced, from $53 a month billed yearly or $67 billed monthly.
Approvals, recurring posts and the API start on Advanced. The post approval system, recurring scheduling, Zapier and Make, and the Metricool API are all Advanced or Custom features. On Starter you get the planner, analytics and reports, but no review step.
The free plan is small. Free covers 1 brand, 20 posts a month and 30 days of analytics, without LinkedIn or X. It works for testing, less for a business that posts every day.
No Mastodon or Telegram, and the inbox skips Threads and Bluesky. Metricool publishes to Bluesky and Threads, but its inbox covers Instagram, Facebook, Google Business, TikTok and YouTube, plus LinkedIn on paid plans and X with the add-on.
What Metricool still does better
- Deep analytics on paid plans: unlimited history, up to 100 competitors, hashtag analysis and web or blog analytics.
- Ads reporting for Meta, Google and TikTok Ads next to your organic posts.
- Low prices for one person with many brands: Starter covers up to 5 brands for $20 a month billed yearly.
- A free plan, and an MCP server on every plan, Free included.
- Twitch, a link in bio page (Smartlinks), Canva and a native mobile app.
If analytics, competitor tracking or ads reports are the core of your work, Metricool is the stronger tool. OmniSocials reports on the posts you send through it and has no competitor or ads analytics.
Metricool vs OmniSocials pricing
Both prices below are billed yearly and were checked on October 18, 2026. OmniSocials charges per seat: each brand (one workspace) and each teammate is a seat. Metricool charges per plan, in tiers of brands. Metricool costs less if you run several brands on your own: Starter covers up to 5 brands for $20 a month, where OmniSocials charges $10 per brand. OmniSocials costs less for one brand and for teams of up to 5 seats, because a second person on Metricool means Advanced at $53. Bigger teams pay less on Advanced, which includes unlimited team members.
