How do I add a custom connector in Perplexity?

Open Plugins, then Add custom, Connector, Add MCP connector, Remote. Enter OmniSocials as the name and https://mcp.omnisocials.com as the MCP Server URL, pick OAuth and Streamable HTTP, tick the acknowledgement and click Add. Then click the card to sign in. Accounts without Plugins yet use Customize, then Connectors.

Which Perplexity plans support custom connectors?

Pro, Max and Enterprise. On Enterprise, an admin first turns on Allow members to add custom connectors. On the OmniSocials side, it works on every plan and during the 14-day trial.

Perplexity asks you to approve consequential writes before they run. OmniSocials adds drafts and approval workflows, so a person signs off before anything goes live.

Connect the account in OmniSocials first, then add OmniSocials to Perplexity Computer. Perplexity Computer can then post Reels, carousels and Stories to Instagram, answer its comments and DMs, and read its analytics. LinkedIn works the same for profiles and company pages.

What can Perplexity Computer see in my account?

When you sign in, you choose all workspaces or only the ones you pick, and an API key reaches one workspace. Posting and the inbox follow your role in each workspace. You can disconnect at any time in Settings, then Organisation, then Integrations.

Can Perplexity Computer answer DMs and comments?

Yes, on the 7 platforms in the OmniSocials inbox: Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn pages, TikTok, YouTube, X and Threads. It replies to existing conversations; Instagram and Facebook DMs within Meta's 24-hour window. A workspace can send up to 1,000 replies a day.

Can I post images and videos from Perplexity Computer?

Yes. Give Perplexity Computer a link to the image or video, up to 1 GB, and it uploads it to your OmniSocials library before it posts. Files already in your library work too: ask Perplexity Computer to use them by name.
