The short answer

Pick OmniSocials if you post for your own brands or clients and want the API, an MCP server, SDKs, a CLI and a scheduling app with an inbox and approvals in one seat. OmniSocials costs $10 per seat a month billed yearly, or $12 billed monthly.

Why people are leaving Ayrshare

The entry price is $129 a month. Ayrshare Premium costs $149 a month, or $129 billed yearly, for one profile and one user. A second brand or a teammate means Launch, at $299 a month or $249 billed yearly (ayrshare.com/pricing, October 18, 2026).

X needs your own developer app. Since March 31, 2026, every Ayrshare account that posts to X has to register its own X Developer App and send its API key and secret with each request, according to Ayrshare's docs.

Only Launch has a free trial. The 28-day trial covers the Launch plan and needs a card or Stripe Link. Premium, Business and Enterprise are billed at signup, and the free Basic plan is closed to new sign-ups.

The dashboard is for developers. Ayrshare's docs call it API-first: the dashboard covers a subset of the API, is meant for your own team only, and there is no client-facing app beyond the page where users link their accounts. Approval is a flag in the API, with no screen for reviewers.

Extras are add-ons. AI post generation, link shortening and image resizing sit in the Max Pack, a $300 a month add-on on Business. Boosting Facebook posts as ads is another $100 a month.

What Ayrshare still does better

  • Multi-tenant posting: your users connect their own accounts through a white-label page or widget, and you post for them by API. OmniSocials' platform integration for this is coming soon.
  • Reddit, Snapchat and WhatsApp messaging, which OmniSocials does not offer.
  • Replies to Google Business Profile and Facebook reviews, Facebook ad boosting and RSS auto-posting through the API.
  • Lower prices per profile at scale: Business drops to $2.99 a profile from the 101st and $1.99 past 500, billed yearly.
  • Native iOS and Android apps, a GraphQL API and a 28-day trial.

If you are building a product where your customers connect their own social accounts, Ayrshare is the better fit today. OmniSocials is built for teams that post for their own brands and clients.

Ayrshare vs OmniSocials pricing

Both prices below are billed yearly and were checked on October 18, 2026. OmniSocials charges per seat: each brand (one workspace) and each teammate is a seat. Ayrshare charges per profile, in plans of 1, 10 and 30 profiles. OmniSocials costs less for up to about 100 brands. Past that, Ayrshare's Business tiers cost less, at $2.99 a profile from the 101st, billed yearly. Only Ayrshare lets your own users connect their accounts today.

OmniSocials: $10 per seat a month billed yearly ($12 monthly), every feature and the API included; X posts with a link use pass-through credits. Ayrshare: the cheapest plan that holds the setup, billed yearly: Premium $129 (1 profile, 1 user), Launch $249 (up to 10 profiles, unlimited team members), Business $499 (30 profiles, then $7.99 a profile up to 100 and $2.99 up to 300); billed monthly they cost $149, $299 and $599. What you get with OmniSocials

One calendar, filled by you or your AI agent

Plan in a week or month view, keep drafts in the tray and preview each post the way each platform shows it. Connect Claude, ChatGPT or another agent through the MCP server, and the posts it schedules land on the same calendar for you to check. How the MCP server works

One inbox for 7 platforms

DMs, comments and mentions from Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, X and Threads in one list, on every seat. Ayrshare handles DMs and comments through its API and an internal dashboard, with DMs on Facebook, Instagram, X and WhatsApp. See the inbox

Repost automations

Post on one platform and let an automation repost it to the others on your schedule, for example your Instagram Reels to TikTok, one a day at 9:00 AM. Automations can also bring in your older posts from 8 platforms. See automations

Approvals for teams and clients

Add approval steps per workspace, so a teammate or client signs off before a post goes live. Reviewers comment, request changes or approve, and roles decide who can post, reply or see analytics. Ayrshare has an approval flag in its API, but no screen for reviewers. See collaboration

For developers

Ayrshare has an API and an MCP server too. Here is how they compare.

Both are REST APIs with Bearer keys, an MCP server and signed webhooks. Ayrshare is built to sit inside your product, with a white-label page where your users link their own accounts. OmniSocials is built for teams that post for their own brands, and adds a scheduling app, a CLI and SDKs in 8 languages to every seat, also during the trial.

Other Ayrshare alternatives

OmniSocials is not the only option. These four come up most when people look for an Ayrshare alternative, from developer APIs to scheduling apps with an API. Each price is the vendor's cheapest paid plan, checked on its own pricing page.

  • Zernio

Best for developers building social features into a product

Free for 2 connected accounts. Then $6 per account a month, billed monthly by usage. (checked Oct 18, 2026)

The catch: Every connected account is billed, so one brand on 4 platforms costs $12 a month, and X API calls cost extra.

    OmniSocials vs Zernio
  • Postiz

Best for open-source scheduling you can self-host

Free to self-host. Cloud Standard $29 a month ($23 billed yearly) for 5 channels. (checked Oct 18, 2026)

The catch: Standard has no team members, and Postiz has no inbox for DMs or comments.

    OmniSocials vs Postiz
  • Buffer

Best for simple queues on a budget

Free for 3 channels. Essentials from $6 per channel a month ($5 billed yearly). (checked Oct 18, 2026)

The catch: You pay per channel and Essentials has one user, so 10 channels cost $60 a month billed monthly.

    OmniSocials vs Buffer
  • Metricool

Best for analytics and competitor tracking

Free for 1 brand. Starter $25 a month ($20 billed yearly) for up to 5 brands. (checked Oct 18, 2026)

The catch: X is a $10 a month add-on per account, and LinkedIn needs a paid plan.

    OmniSocials vs Metricool

How to switch from Ayrshare

  1. Connect your accounts and create a key

Make a workspace for each brand, connect each account through the platform's own sign-in and create an API key. The API, MCP server and SDKs all work during the 14-day trial.

  2. Repoint your calls

There is no import from Ayrshare. Swap Ayrshare's endpoints for the OmniSocials API or an SDK, or connect your agent to the MCP server, then recreate your scheduled posts.

  3. Cancel Ayrshare when you are live

Keep both running until your posts and webhooks flow through OmniSocials, then cancel Ayrshare before its next renewal date.
