Why people are leaving Loomly
No X. Loomly's list of supported platforms, updated in May 2026, has Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Google Business, YouTube, Snapchat, TikTok, Threads and Bluesky, but no X. Teams that post to X need a second tool.
Starter is $49 a month, and every approver is a user. Starter costs $49 a month billed yearly, or $65 billed monthly, for 12 social accounts and 3 users. Loomly counts every person in a calendar as a user, including a client who only approves posts.
The next step is $249. A fourth user or a 13th social account moves you to Beyond, at $249 a month billed yearly or $332 billed monthly. Beyond includes unlimited users and 60 accounts, which helps big teams more than small ones.
Plans changed after the 2025 takeover. Bending Spoons bought Loomly in January 2025, and Loomly moved accounts to new plans at renewal that year. Its help center says it cannot revert accounts to earlier plans or offer custom discounts.
Nothing to build on. Loomly's help center says it does not offer a public API; Zapier is the way to connect it. There is no MCP server, so an AI agent cannot plan or post for you.
What Loomly still does better
- Approval workflows and roles on every paid plan, with Slack and Microsoft Teams notifications.
- Recurring posts and CSV bulk upload of up to 60 posts, which OmniSocials does not offer.
- Unlimited users on Beyond, so a large team on few accounts can pay less than per-seat pricing.
- Snapchat by reminder, and custom channels for networks Loomly does not connect.
- An in-app AI assistant, Canva, Google Drive and native iOS and Android apps.
If your team lives in approvals, recurring posts and bulk uploads, Loomly is a solid pick. OmniSocials has no recurring posts, no CSV upload and no native app yet.
Loomly vs OmniSocials pricing
Both prices below are billed yearly and were checked on October 18, 2026. OmniSocials charges per seat: each brand (one workspace) and each teammate is a seat. Loomly charges per plan by accounts and users. OmniSocials costs less for one or two brands and for small teams. At 3 brands and 3 people the two cost about the same: $50 against Loomly Starter's $49. Past Starter, Loomly's Beyond plan has unlimited users, so a large team on a few accounts can pay less on Loomly.

What you get with OmniSocials
One calendar, filled by you or your AI agent
Plan in a week or month view, keep drafts in the tray and preview each post the way each platform shows it. Connect Claude, ChatGPT or another agent through the MCP server, and the posts it schedules land on the same calendar for you to check. How the MCP server works
One inbox for 7 platforms
DMs, comments and mentions from Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, X and Threads in one list, on every seat. Loomly's inbox covers Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok and Bluesky, without X, YouTube or Threads. See the inbox
Repost automations
Post on one platform and let an automation repost it to the others on your schedule, for example your Instagram Reels to TikTok, one a day at 9:00 AM. Automations can also bring in your older posts from 8 platforms. See automations
Approvals for teams and clients
Add approval steps per workspace, so a teammate or client signs off before a post goes live. Reviewers comment, request changes or approve, and roles decide who can post, reply or see analytics. Loomly includes approvals on every paid plan too, but counts each approver as one of Starter's 3 users. See collaboration

Frequently asked questions
Is OmniSocials a good alternative to Loomly?
Yes, if you post to X or have a small team. OmniSocials schedules to 12 platforms, X, Mastodon and Telegram included, and every seat has approvals, an inbox for 7 platforms, an MCP server and a REST API. One brand with one person costs $10 a month billed yearly, against Loomly's $49.
Loomly is the better fit for large teams that need unlimited users, or if you rely on recurring posts, CSV uploads or Snapchat reminders.
What are the best alternatives to Loomly?
It depends on why you are leaving. OmniSocials if you post to X and want approvals, an inbox and an API per seat. Buffer for a free plan and simple queues. Metricool for analytics and a free plan. SocialPilot for agencies on a budget. Sendible for client reporting. SocialBee for recycling evergreen content.
Is there a free version of Loomly?
Not on its pricing page. Loomly's help center describes a free plan with 1 user, 3 social accounts and 5 posts a month, and says it might not be available for all users. Paid plans start at $49 a month billed yearly, or $65 billed monthly (loomly.com/pricing, October 18, 2026).
For a free alternative, Buffer has a free plan for 3 channels and Metricool one for 1 brand with 20 posts a month. OmniSocials has no free plan; it starts with a 14-day trial, then costs $10 per seat a month billed yearly.
How much does Loomly cost?
Starter costs $49 a month billed yearly ($588 a year) or $65 billed monthly, for 12 social accounts and 3 users. Beyond costs $249 a month billed yearly ($2,988 a year) or $332 billed monthly, for 60 accounts and unlimited users. Enterprise, from 61 accounts, has custom pricing. Yearly plans save 25% and cannot be ended early (checked October 18, 2026).
Why is Loomly so expensive for teams?
Because users are capped per plan. Starter includes 3 users, and Loomly counts everyone in a calendar as a user, clients who only approve included. A fourth person means Beyond, at $249 a month billed yearly.
On OmniSocials each teammate or client is a seat at $10 a month billed yearly, so four people on one brand cost $40.
Does Loomly have a social inbox?
Yes. Loomly's Interactions tab handles comments, mentions and messages from Facebook and Instagram, comments on LinkedIn and TikTok, and comments and mentions on Bluesky, with assignments and saved replies.
OmniSocials' inbox covers 7 platforms: Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn Page, TikTok, YouTube, X and Threads, on every seat, with comment-to-DM automations for Instagram.
Does Loomly support X (Twitter)?
No. X is not on Loomly's list of supported platforms (updated May 2026), which covers Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Google Business, YouTube, Snapchat, TikTok, Threads and Bluesky. OmniSocials publishes to X directly; posts with a link use pass-through credits, because X charges for them.
Does Loomly have an API?
No. Loomly's help center says it does not currently offer a public API and points to Zapier instead, and Loomly has no MCP server (checked October 18, 2026). OmniSocials has a REST API at api.omnisocials.com, an MCP server with 56 tools for Claude, ChatGPT and other agents, SDKs in 8 languages, a CLI and 5 webhook events, in every seat and during the trial.
Is Loomly worth it?
For a team of up to 3 that wants approvals, recurring posts and CSV uploads, Starter at $49 a month billed yearly is reasonable. It is harder to justify if you post to X, which Loomly does not support, if you work alone, or if a fourth person pushes you to Beyond at $249.
Can I move my scheduled posts from Loomly to OmniSocials?
There is no automatic import from Loomly. Connect your accounts, then paste your upcoming posts into the composer or give the list to your AI agent, which schedules them through the MCP server. Keep Loomly until your queue is live in OmniSocials, then cancel it before the renewal date.
How much does OmniSocials cost?
