Weekday mornings from 9 AM to noon, and 6 to 9 PM from Monday to Thursday, in your audience's local time. That is where 5 studies from 2025 and 2026 agree most. Wednesday is the strongest day, Sunday the weakest.
Checked on against 6 sources.
Five engagement studies from late 2025 and 2026 split into two camps. Buffer and Hootsuite find Facebook mornings strongest (Buffer's best slot is Thursday 9 AM), while Sprout Social finds weekday afternoons into the evening strongest. Put together, weekday mornings from 9 AM to noon and evenings from 6 to 9 PM, Monday to Thursday, get the most votes. Overnight, about midnight to 6 AM, gets the fewest.
Weekends are weak in most studies: Sprout calls Sunday the worst day to post, and Buffer names Saturday. Facebook gives no clock time of its own, so check your Page's insights for when your followers are online.
Facebook can limit a Page to links in 2 organic posts or comments a month; Meta One Advanced, Expert and Max plans raise it to 8, 20 or unlimited. It may not apply to every Page. Source
Facebook renamed the Videos tab to Reels, and all new videos are shared as reels, of any length or orientation. Source
Your Page's insights show when your audience is on Facebook. Plan around that before any general study.
Every study here uses local time. If most followers live in another zone, schedule in theirs.
The studies split between the two. Post similar content at 9 AM and 7 PM for two to three weeks and compare reach.
Sprout Social calls Sunday the worst day and Buffer names Saturday. Save launches for midweek.
Facebook's own scheduler takes posts 20 minutes to 29 days ahead. A scheduler lets the 7 PM post go out without you.
If your Page has the 2-links-a-month limit, put those posts in the slots your audience uses most.
We read the Facebook timing studies from Sprout Social, Buffer, Hootsuite, SocialPilot and RecurPost, published between November 2025 and August 2026. Together they cover about 18 million posts plus Sprout Social's 2 billion engagements. Each study gets one vote per day and three-hour block: plus one when it names the block as a best time, minus one when it says to avoid it. The votes are scaled from 0 to 100, so the map shows where the studies agree, not an engagement rate.
