Evenings, about 8 to 11 PM in your audience's local time, get the most votes from 5 studies. Late weekday mornings come second. Pins keep getting found for months, so the hour matters less here than the season.
Checked on against 8 sources.
Five studies published between November 2025 and September 2026 split into two camps. Sprout Social and Hootsuite point to late weekday mornings and midday, about 10 AM to 1 PM. RecurPost, Viraly and Social Champ point to evenings, about 8 to 11 PM. Added up, the evening band wins, and Thursday 6 to 9 PM is the slot most studies name.
Pinterest gives no clock time. Its advice is about the season: "If the moment peaks in June, launch in April." Tailwind's study of 1.2 million Pins found no universal best time, so use the map as a start and test it against your own numbers.

Pinterest says "trends on Pinterest last nearly twice as long as they do anywhere else". A Pin can keep finding people long after the day it goes out. Source
Sprout Social and RecurPost both use the audience's local time. If most of your audience lives in New York, plan in Eastern Time, wherever you are.
Post similar Pins in an evening slot and a morning slot for about four weeks. Compare saves and outbound clicks, not impressions alone.
Pinterest's rule of thumb is two months before a moment peaks, and September for the winter holidays. The week matters more than the hour.
In Tailwind's 2025 data, about 20% of new Pins had no impressions after a week, and reach kept growing over the first 90 days.
The strongest band runs 8 to 11 PM. Pinterest's own scheduler holds only 10 Pins at a time, up to 30 days ahead, so a longer queue needs a scheduler.
Pinterest's advice is to add content every week. A regular rhythm at fair times beats one big batch at the perfect hour.
We read the Pinterest timing studies published between November 2025 and September 2026 that name times from their own data: Sprout Social, Hootsuite, RecurPost, Viraly and Social Champ. Only Sprout Social and Hootsuite publish their samples, and both pool every network; the other three do not describe their method, so treat them as weaker evidence. Each study gets one vote per day and three-hour block: plus one when it names the block as a best time, minus one when it says to avoid the block or the day. The votes are scaled from 0 to 100, so the map shows where the studies agree, not an engagement rate. CoSchedule's hours are left out because they come from 2022 data, and SocialPilot's Pinterest section repeats them. Tailwind's study names no best time, so it adds no votes.
